I made my first grilled hamburgers of the season.

I’d forgotten just how good these are. Here’s my recipe:

Makes 4 burgers.

1 lb hamburger

1 tbsp horseradish

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 egg

1 slice whole grain bread, crumbed

Mix all this together. Make four equal weight patties. Grill to taste, about 4 minutes on side one, two minutes on side two. Put cheese on top after flipping to side 2.

I’ll admit that these measurements are approximate. I just dump stuff in, but I think this is about right. Instead of bread, I often just whack a half a bun in the Cuisinart.
